I would like to introduce one of my best friends son, James Linwood Overton III, also known as Jax. This year my friend Melissa gave me the best birthday present ever, she had her son on my birthday. I couldn't be happier to share my day with such a precious gift. Obviously since I live half way across the country from the Outer Banks I haven't gotten to hold and meet this special little man yet but the time will come. Jax came at 1:44pm March 11th. He weighed 10.5 pounds and was 21.5 inches long. A very sturdy little man. I know that Melissa and her husband Jake (James L. Overton II) will be wonderful parents. I keep thinking about Jake's Mother saying that when Jake was younger all he wanted to be when he grew up was a father. I guess it is safe to say Jake is officially all grown up:) I also could have never imagined in all the years I've known Melissa she would have her child on a friends birthday, of all the days in the year:) I still picture Melissa and I as 12 year old little girls sometimes...and here we are 14 years later, as Mothers now. I couldn't be more proud of my dear friend and her new family!!!! Love you guys!!!!
i still picture us all as kids, too! having been in britain all this time has made me feel so far away from everyone i grew up around, but to see you guys all having babies and being moms makes me so happy inside. i'm so happy for both of you! (and happy birthday present! what a considerate and thoughtful friend melissa is. hehe!)
