Sorry its been a while...

So sorry its been a little while since I've gotten on here. We have been very busy and unfortunately sick. Since my last post Liam caught a virus which led him to his first real full blown fever...104 to be exact. The best remedy that worked to bring his fever down was alternating infants Motrin and infants Tylenol. Poor guy was pretty out of it for about 36 hours and was back to normal after about three days total. During all of that Grandma R. and Sissy (aka Aunt Kim) came to visit for a week. Unfortunately the Oklahoma summer heat kept us indoors for the most part but we did get some shopping in and an afternoon at the pool. Kim and I joined the little kids in enjoying the water slides. We were the oldest ones in line by at least 15 years lol. I've still got my inner child I guess! Grandma and Sissy were very surprised at how sneaky and fast Liam is at crawling. He really gets around!!! Also he is now knowingly "cruising" around our furniture. I know it won't be too much longer until I report that he is walking. Grandma left Liam with a new DVD "Elmo's World." It is a heaven sent gift! For anyone that's been in my house you would know that there is no way to really baby proof everything without seriously messing up some walls. (Don't want to do that because hopefully this house will go back on the market soon for a move back east.) So we somewhat just corral Liam into the living room. He loves his Baby Einstein DVDs but this new movie has put those to shame. Its great because they are based on his age and it allows me to lets say cook dinner?!?! So thank you Grandma R. for not just the gift of the new movie but for the moments of time that I get while Liam is occupied by Elmo. I really envy some of my friends back home with kids because their parents and or good friends that they trust with their little ones live near by and can get a mini break every once in while. I don't have that luxury and while Dan is a huge help whenever he can be, his work schedule isn't exactly a fixed 9-5. (Dang criminals you're messing with my family time!!! Can't people just be law abiding citizens and not threaten things?!?!?! Is that too much to ask? lol)So anyways I take my mini breaks in whatever form they can come in :) Luckily while Mary and Kim were here Dan and I got in one date night once Liam's fever was gone. We went to dinner and a movie. Amazing all we talked about at dinner was Liam. Might as well have had him with us...lol. My Dad (Eddie) is coming in a few weeks so it will be nice to not go as long without any date nights. (After that it could be a long while!)

So the pictures above are of a sterling musical turtle that Mrs. Libretto gave Liam as a gift when he was born. Liam actually loves to listen to it while he is being changed and play with it. Why is it that all little boys love shiney things??? The second picture is just a very cute moment after dinner. Now that Liam is attempting to feed himself during dinner his cloths can get pretty messy so we just strip him down to his diaper till its time for PJ's and or a bath.
