Want to know my name?

So here we are at 26 weeks. Baby Robertson cooperated and allowed us to finally get a nice profile shot. He's a big one...already just over 2 pounds (Average is 1 1/2 pounds at this point). From here on out it's back to the doctor every two weeks. We will miss one appointment for Mommy's big trip back east this summer. I have to let the name slip because I'm really not used to referring to him as "Baby Robertson". Dan and I both agreed that we didn't want to name him anything out of the ordinary, but that he have a name all his own. I hate to see when people name thier kids names like "Apple" and so on. I mean imagine them when they are 40 and being called that. We are 95% sure his name is going to be William Sullivan Robertson. A few people have picked up on the name "William" because one of our gift registries has monogramming options. So, here is the story of how we came to choosing this name. "William" is a popular name on my side of the family. It is my grandfather, father, and twin brother's first name (they all go by their middle names though). On Dan's side, his Uncle Billy (William) was a tremendous influence, role model, and friend to him. Then we came to choose "Sullivan" because we both agreed we liked Irish names and once again, its' a family name down the Robertson side. Dan's father's mother's maiden name was Sullivan. We both feel that it's a very strong and traditional name with lots of nick-name potential. We are waiting to meet the little man before we get stuck on a nickname but so far both the "Grandma's" are calling him "Sully". Mommy likes the nickname "Will" and Daddy is leaning towards "Billy." We will see what wins us over. We actually came up with the name the day we found out that we were having a boy and it has just grown on us more each day. Dan also came to the conclusion this day and I quote, "this kid doesn't stand a chance at drinking in moderation." I asked that we try and not worry about that for at least 16 more years. So there you have it, we have slipped and given away the name:) We hope everyone likes it just as much as we do!
