Man down...I mean Mama down....

So earlier this week Dan and I decided he would take a personal day from work for Friday. We planned on taking Liam to the zoo and just having a family day that work was not allowed to interrupt. We were really in need of some quite family time. All week Liam and I have been discussing what we would see at the zoo and so forth. I figured with a planned day nothing stood in our way. I was wrong, very wrong! Yesterday morning I woke up not only on the wrong side of the bed, but also not feeling well. I was burning up and then freezing cold. My stomach felt like I was on a roller coaster ride. Every joint in my body ached. Oh no, the dreaded stomach bug had struck and of all the days!

I try desperately sometimes to not be a "Negative Nancy" so the silver lining to this is Dan was home and able to take care of Liam. I actually got to have a sick day and not have to tend to anyone but myself. (Although I do wish I had my own Mama here to have taken care of me!!!) I was very appreciative of that, but I was pretty bummed that I missed out on the zoo trip. Our Tulsa Zoo has a new Sea Lion exhibit that I knew Liam was going to LOVE! So instead of a family day it turned into a Daddy and Son day. I guess if I had to get sick, it was a good day to get sick. Plus I'm sure Liam and I will sneak back over to the zoo before it gets too cold in the next few weeks. I hardly ever get sick, let alone so sick I could barely make it out of bed. All I can say is thank goodness it was only 24 hours. Now here is to hoping no one else in our house catches it. I was up bright and early disinfecting everything. I hate a messy house, I despise a germ-y house!

Here are a few pictures of Liam enjoying the sea lions and penguins sent to me via text from Dan:)
