Well I am saddened to report poor Gus has another hematoma:( Poor dog!!! He will be in the "cone of shame" (even though he didn't do anything shameful) for a few weeks if not a month. He did just fine through his surgery this morning and is now home resting and milking us for every treat it's worth. This is also probably the end of the poor pooches 2011-2012 hunting season. I'm going to need to get a lot more treats to keep him happy when his Daddy leaves super early in the morning shot gun in hand. Luckily duck season ends this weekend and there is a short break before goose season opens. Maybe if he has a speedy recovery he can get one more hunt in this season....that's a big maybe!
