Where to start with this blog entry??? Well Christmas was a hit this year. We spent some quality time with Grandma (Mary) and Sissy (Kim.) They were here with us just shy of a week and it was great to have them with us for the holiday! Liam loved his presents and the extra sets of hands to play with him. Also while our company was here we celebrated my mother n laws birthday. They took a trip to the Tulsa Aquarium while I stayed home to cook an awesome birthday dinner. We really had a great visit with Mary and Kim. Dan and I also got to take advantage of family being here to help watch Liam so we got a date night in too. This Christmas was very relaxing and fulfilling:) I also have to say I was so glad we didn't get any snow this holiday!!! So glad to see it all went to the east coast:)
So 2010 is coming to an end. This year really seemed to fly by!!! There was a lot of commotion this year. 2010 was filled with lots of firsts for Liam, laughs and tears. We did lots of traveling and visiting family. We plan on continuing that into 2011 with a kick start trip to North Carolina for Melissa's baby shower that I am hosting for her. I am so excited!!! Then we plan on a spring/early summer trip to New York followed by a summer trip to Wyoming hopefully to visit some very special extended Marine Corps family! After all of that I have no idea what will be happening. By this time next year we could possibly know where and if we are moving in early 2012:) So after my first real full year in Oklahoma I have come to this conclusion. I LOVE Oklahoma, but I HATE how far away it is from the east coast.
This year I have learned a lot about love. Love for my son, husband, family and friends. I've given myself a little dose of tough love and made myself not care so much about the unimportant things and people in my life. Loving and being loved in return is how it should be. There is no one way street on this concept for me. Meeting me in the middle is the only option. Its worked out great! So much less stress and more time and energy focusing on the important things.
I hope that this next new year brings everyone comfort, health, and happiness. Happy 2011 everyone!!!!
Liam's pajamas are so cute!
