SMH......

SMH.....Shaking My Head. You must be living under a rock to not be aware of car seat laws, seat belt laws and so forth. Lately I have been seeing a few pictures online where you can tell someone is driving and their kids are not in car seats, don't have a seat belt on, are sitting in the front seat of a vehicle that clearly has a back seat and the worst yet, standing up while the vehicle is in motion. I don't understand why a parent, let alone an adult would take the risk. I mean sure some might say "Oh well I'm a really safe driver" but what about all the other morons on the road? Or the person who normally is a safe driver and for just one second gets distracted? Next thing you know....car accident. No one means for car accidents to happen, that's why they are called accidents. Poor Liam, that boy is going to be in a car seat as long as I can keep him in one and then the booster seat. I bought a SUV so that we would be safer in the event of an accident over my Accord I previously owned. I hear horror stories routinely from my Dad who is a fireman about calls he has run with kids involved. PUT YOUR KIDS IN PROPER CAR SEATS PEOPLE!!!! Just because your child may not like it shouldn't make it optional! Your children are supposed to be your most prized possessions, your gift from God....take care of them! I'm not saying go out and buy the most expensive car seat on the market, just keep them in a safe and approved car seat. You can buy them for as cheap as $45.00 at Walmart....no excuses people. I feel the most for the kids because they don't know any better. They have no idea in their innocent minds the horrible things that could happen. We as parents are supposed to be care givers to our children. So CARE for them in the right ways and protect them!!!! There is just no good excuse for not doing something as simple as putting your child in the proper car seat they need.
