I felt like this part at least deserved its own paragraph. The one sad part of my trip back was my brother Steven. On my way east we found out he was going to be deploying back to Afghanistan in a very short time. It was very unexpected since he was just coming off recruiting orders. Had I not been back east I know I would not have been able to visit with him before he left. As luck would have it though I did get to spend an afternoon with him before he left. I got to hug him tight and kiss him goodbye. I don't think I'll ever get used to doing that with him. I know I never did with my husband either. Third trip will be the charm hopefully though. Prayers to Steven and to his family. God speed and come home safe twin brother!!!

Salty Air:)
So for basically the month of June Liam and I were either in NC at the beach or in Northern VA. Dan got to spend the first leg of the trip with us for a week. Someone has to earn the bacon I suppose;) The main purpose of the trip was for my younger brothers Dylan and Chance. They are proud high school graduates now! They graduated two days apart, one in NC and the other in VA. I could not be a prouder big sister to these two. I'm so excited for their futures to start unfolding!!! We were able to tie in the trip with some training Dan had to do for work. It was nice to be back for so long because a week is just not long enough! Even though I was back for so long I still feel like we were on the go constantly and I never feel like I get to spend enough time with friends or family. I had not been home in a year. I can't believe a year went by. Craziness!!! Hopefully that won't happen again. Liam LOVED being near so much water. I have decided as much as I prefer the ocean to the sound....the sound is much better for a toddler. The ocean was pretty rough the entire time we were visiting it seemed like. That's the beauty of the Outer Banks though....there is so much water all around you can always find another more calm spot to splash around in. This post could seriously go on for days so I am going to narrow it down quite a bit. We were stoked to get to do Busch Gardens with our great friends Alex and her son Miller. Liam and Miller both loved the rides and sweet treats. Liam was so tuckered out he fell asleep on the spinning teacups....yep, that's my boy! Alex and I got to get the boys and ourselves together quite a bit which was awesome because normally Alex is totally consumed in work this time of year. She and I not only have been close since middle school but have boys three weeks apart in age. We have been each others rocks from pregnancy through these toddlers years. I know we will continue to be through all the rest too;) Liam and I also got to go to a really cool kids water park in Reston, VA with my Dad...aka Papa. I'm not sure who was more excited to be there, my Dad or Liam?!?! Papa also took us to a really neat little petting zoo in the same area. Liam even fed a baby lamb. It was really sweet. I got to also spend a lot of grown up time with my best friend Ashley. Grown up time is not something I have had a ton of since moving to Oklahoma so when my parents said to go out I took full advantage. Ashley took me horse back riding, had lots adult beverages, went for some fun boat rides....needless to say never a dull moment with her:) I wish our husbands could have been with us, but then again when she and I get together we don't pay much attention to anyone else. It's seriously like we are sisters. I just love that about our friendship! Sorry Dan and Charles, we still love you both dearly!!! We got to spend a great evening with our pals Shane, Liv and their kiddos. Seriously time stops and picks right back up again with that family!!! Love us some Cook Family!!! Dan and I also got to meet up with our good friends Josh and Kaelee Martin and enjoy an awesome dinner with them. Liam got in lots of great time with two of his uncles.... he also tried to move in on their girl friends....watch out boys, Liam may steal them!!! LOL The first part of our trip was a little rough, we were all sick. Liam had caught some nasty little bug and shared it with Dan and I. Unavoidable when you're all locked in the car driving half way across the country I suppose. In true Robertson fashion though we didn't let it hold us down:) We did so much while we were home but those were kind of the high lights.
