Well we are back home and settled from our trip to visit family and friends in New York. We really enjoyed being able to be outside and taking in the fresh air, with a hint of salt to it! Its been such an extremely hot summer here in Oklahoma that we are trapped in the house. It was great getting to go to the beach, take walks and just hang out outside. Liam loved the beach. We couldn't keep him out of the water. I love that he loves the water but it scares me at the same time since without any fear, there is no caution. Next summer we will be doing swimming lessons for sure! Unfortunately the day before we left to fly to NY we discovered Liam had a ear infection. We were really worried how he would do on the plane with the pressure changes but our boy did great! He slept the long stint of the trip and was happy and content on our short flight. The same for the trip home too. If you are a parent who travels a lot with kids I highly recommend an Ipad....its compact and you can add lots of games and movies. Most of Liam's games were all free apps too! We are expecting visits from Grandma Robertson and Grandpa Teal before the month is over. Hard to believe that in less then 4 weeks my little man will be turning two!!! Ahhh....the time goes by so fast!!! That is about all we have been up to, just waiting for the "heat dome" covering Oklahoma to end. August is normally the hot month here so we are eager for fall to come sooner then later....and you know what that means....football season in Oklahoma!!!! Not really sure if we are OU or OSU fans, but its a lot of fun to watch how into football everyone is here. Its like a religion, on game days there is very light traffic and stores are practically empty! Its amazing!!!! Happy end of summer everyone!!!!
